4 bread
rolls split
½ lb thin
sliced Italian Roast beef
2 cloves
garlic, crushed
1 bunch
basil, chiffanade
2 Roma
tomatoes, thin sliced
½ cup extra
virgin olive oil
2 tblspns
balsamic vinegar
1 tblspn
dried oregano
8 slices
Provolone cheese
Mix the cup
of olive oil, garlic, and oregano and allow to rest to get the
flavors to meld.
Heat your grill/oven to 375° F with your bacon press
inside. You can also use an electric Panini press if you have one.
Lightly brush the cut sides of the rolls with the olive oil mixture.
Now place the beef, basil, tomato, and cheese, in that order, on top
of the bottom of the roll while inverted. Invert the top of the roll
and press it down on top of the sandwich.
Place on the hot grill
and press down firmly with the hot bacon press. Allow to cook 5 minutes per side until
the cheese melts and the bread becomes toasted. Serve!
