Cool Drinks for a Hot Day



Please drink responsibly, and never drink and drive!

PLANTER'S PUNCH

4 ounces dark Rum
4 ounces white rum
2 ounces pineapple juice
2 ounces limeade
2 ounces orange juice
dash of grenadine

Place ingredients, in order, into a tall glass filled with crushed ice and serve.


MINT JULEP

6 to 8 fresh mint sprigs
1 tablespoon simple syrup
Crushed ice
2 1/2 ounces Jim Beam Bourbon
Fresh mint sprigs

In a tall glass, add the mint and simple syrup. With the handle of a spoon, crush and mash the leaves to extract the flavors. Fill the glass with the crushed ice and pour in the bourbon. Using a tea spoon, jiggle the contents to mix and chill. Garnish with fresh mint sprigs
 

TEQUILA SUNRISE

1 ounce Cuervo Gold
4 ounces orange juice
Crushed ice
dash of grenadine

Mix the tequila and orange juice in a whiskey tumbler. Add in the ice and grenadine.



CADILLAC GOLD MARGARITA

2 ounces Cuervo Gold
4 ounces margarita mix
1 ounce triple sec
Crushed ice
dash of Grand Marnier floated on top

Rim a margarita glass with salt.  Mix the first three ingredients together and pour into the glass filled with ice.  Float the Grand Marnier on top and serve.



APPLE PIE MOONSHINE

1 gal spiced apple cider
1 gal apple juice
8-10 cinnamon sticks
1-1/2 cups granulated sugar
1 cups molasses
750 ml bottle of 190 proof grain alcohol
1 Liter whipped cream vodka

Combine all ingredients in a large stock pot, except for the alcohol, and bring to a boil.

Let it simmer for about 30 minutes.
Remove the mixture from heat & let cool to room temperature.
Once the mixture is completely cool, add in the alcohol.
Transfer to sterile quart mason jars with a cinnamon stick in each jar
Store them in a cool dark dry place.
After a couple of weeks your Apple Pie Moonshine will taste even better.


ORANGE CREAMSICLE MOONSHINE

Ingredients
1 gallon Orange juice no pulp
1 1/2 cups Sugar
2 tbsps Vanilla extract
1 cup French vanilla liquid coffee creamer
3 cups 190 proof Everclear
1/2 cup Vanilla vodka
5 Mason jars w/ lids

Instructions
Using a big pot, bring to a boil the orange juice, sugar, vanilla extract and the vanilla coffee creamer.
Stir until creamer is fully incorporated
Cool to room temp for about 1 hour
Add everclear and vodka to your orange mixture
Stir
Pour your moonshine into your mason jars and seal closed
Refrigerate
Let sit in fridge for at least 2 weeks
Shake well before serving
